The Federal Chamber of Automotive Industries (FCAI) welcomes the opportunity to provide our views to NSW Parliamentary inquiry on Electric and hybrid vehicle batteries. The Australian vehicle fleet is changing and will continue to do so in response to the various state and federal policies and initiatives.
In order to reduce emissions of the Australian vehicle fleet, the FCAI members are adapting their offering across the range of powertrain technologies – including NonPlug-In Hybrid Electric Vehicles (HEV), Plug In Hybrid Electric Vehicles (PHEV), Battery Electric Vehicles (BEV) and Hydrogen Fuel Cell Electric Vehicles (FCEV).
The FCAI acknowledges the NSW parliamentary inquiry led by the Joint Standing Committee on Road Safety and refers the Committee to the previous FCAI submission to the ACCC – Lithium-ion batteries Issues Paper – available for download below.
