Mr. Tony Weber has been appointed Chief Executive of the Federal Chamber of Automotive Industries, Australia’s peak body for the automotive industry. Mr. Weber will commence his official duties as of September 10, 2012.
Mr. Weber’s appointment follows an extensive executive recruitment process conducted by Courland International on behalf of the FCAI.
Mr. Weber has a strong background in government having worked in numerous Commonwealth Departments plus appointments to several key taskforces including the Productivity Commission. Mr. Weber has a strong understanding and appreciation of the automotive industry in Australia. He joins the FCAI from the Department of Industry, Innovation, Science, Research and Tertiary Education (DIISRTE) where he has held many senior positions including most recently, Acting Head of the Innovation Division.
