The peak body representing the Australian automotive industry, the Federal Chamber of Automotive Industries (FCAI), has this week hosted the International Motorcycle Manufacturers’ Association (IMMA) General Assembly in Melbourne.
“This is the first time Australia has hosted an IMMA General Assembly and will mean the local industry has the opportunity to be involved in emerging international policy directions,” FCAI Chief Executive Andrew McKellar said.
The International Motorcycle Manufacturers’ Association is the trade association which represents the motorcycle industry at a global level with its “core business” being the development of international regulations and standards which affect the construction and use of motorcycles.
“This conference reinforces Australia is part of the global motorcycle industry and can gain valuable insights into the latest international trends and policy development,” Mr McKellar said.
“Motorcycle brands, riders and Australian governments will all benefit from the FCAI’s involvement in this international conference,” he said.
