The latest and greatest new bikes, pristine classics and eye-catching riding displays will be in Darling Harbour from tomorrow until Sunday, as part of the 2013 Sydney Motorcycle & Scooter Show.
The Show is the premier event for Australia’s motorcycle industry and is owned by the Federal Chamber of Automotive Industries (FCAI)—the peak body representing the motorcycle industry.
Tomorrow morning, FCAI Chief Executive Tony Weber will open the Show, which this year includes 140 exhibitors.
In his opening, Mr Weber will release the Motorcycle and Scooter Industry Code of Practice, which promotes rider safety by ensuring motorcycle dealers have the latest licencing information and the guidance they need to help inform riders at the point of sale.
“The Code will help ensure industry-wide best practice relating to the sale and registration of bikes. It has been developed by the FCAI and is supported by motorcycle manufacturers,” Mr Weber said.
“It is fitting that I release it tomorrow at the Show, where motorcycle and scooter enthusiasts, manufacturers, dealers and other suppliers will be in attendance.”
Mr Weber will also release the FCAI’s 2014 to 2016 Motorcycle Strategy, which outlines a range of issues affecting motorcycling in Australia and highlights the role the FCAI will play over the next three years to ensure the needs of the industry and riders are considered.
